The fourth musicarello<\/em> in which the brightest star of the genre, Gianni Morandi, wears a military uniform. Even if, in this case, it’s a naval one. As befits any self-respecting seafarer, in this film the never-smooth romantic adventures, obligatory of the genre, are here infused with a touch of the exotic, in a veiled tribute to Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. <\/em>On this occasion, his love interest is played by Chinese actress Elisabetta Wu, making her big screen debut (she won’t have the most successful cinematic career, but many may remember her from her sexy photos). As is the tradition in the musicarello<\/em>, the singer and his love are accompanied by a cast who, from time to time, are call in to ease the tension through laughter. In this regard, an honourable mention goes to the timeless couple of Raimondo Vianello and Sandra Mondaini. There is also a very young Loretta Goggi, but throughout the film Morandi is the only one to sing. Of the many wonderful performances he gives, we will mention just one: La fisarmonica<\/em>, the song that inspired the film’s title and his big hit of the moment<\/p>\n\n\n\n A naval cadet falls in love with a Japanese princess. But the girl’s father has already decided her fate: she will marry a nobleman from her own country.
