If the name Connery brings to mind an irresistible man who sometimes goes by the name… “Bond, James Bond”, you’ve very nearly hit the bull’s-eye. However, the Connery in question is in fact Sean’s younger brother, sporting a little more facial hair and a lot less luck. This alone should be reason enough for you to suspect the intention not just to emulate but to strongly parody. Indeed, almost every actor in OK Connery<\/em> has already crossed paths with the real 007: from Adolfo Celi (the boss of SPECTRE in Thunderball<\/em>) to Daniela Bianchi (the head of the Soviet intelligence agency in From Russia with Love<\/em>), to name the most important. The film serves as a platform upon which to exhibit all the characteristics of the original series (the one starring the older brother): exotic locations, beautiful women incapable of resisting the temptation of being seduced, really evil bad guys, an elaborate array of technological gadgets (here good old hypnosis works, as well).
