The craziest battle cry in Italian comedy explodes like a surreal missile in this comedy set in a military barracks<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Patroclo” isn’t a character, it is a psychopathic battle cry. Giorgio Bracardi, one of the sharpest and most surreal Italian comedians, originally invented it for the cult radio broadcast Alto gradimento<\/em>. Out of nowhere this summonsing of the mysterious Patroclo erupts: it is nonsense, pure and simple, and it can be heard throughout the 1970s whenever young people are around. In this film, Bracardi floats around like a foreign body, letting fly with his impressive vocal cords at the most unexpected moments (including one memorable scene where his head pops out of a toilet). Constructed around these moments of madness, is an enjoyable and entertaining comedy of a more traditional nature set in a military barracks, with Pippo Franco and his “pasta and beans” face having to deal with pain-in-the-ass sergeants, line-ups, war drills, unattainable women and extra-large sweethearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Petty thief Bruno Camillone manages to obtain a false passport so that he can escape across the border. Unfortunately the name on the document is that of a draft dodger.
