Breathe in the healthy new air of youthful zeal, first introduced by Dino Risi in Poveri ma belli<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The film was inspired by the famous Neapolitan song by Domenico Modugno (and songwriter Riccardo Pazzaglia, to be honest): a young man wants to spend some time alone with a beautiful girl, but she has the unpleasant habit of always bringing her mother along. It is a delightfully simple story that combines romantic comedy with a fresh depiction of youth, first introduced by Dino Risi in the seminal Poveri ma belli<\/em>. It even uses some of the same actors. The film boasts a wonderful cast, young and not-so-young (as ever, the cantankerous Tina Pica is irresistible). Domenico Modugno also appears in the film to energise us with a performance of Musetto,<\/em> another of his fantastic songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Young love is sabotaged by a possessive and invasive family. After a series of unexpected events and well-meaning deceptions, the much-longed for consensus finally arrives.
