Synopsis

Al Bano and Romina Power, Italy’s most beautiful singing couple in a classic musicarello

The sequel to Nel sole, which first gave the world Al Bano and Romina as a couple. However, this time around they are already happily engaged, which, in this type of film, never bodes well. In fact, any self-respecting musicarello demands a serious romantic complication, a temporary farewell between the lovers, and a languid final kiss to repair all that has come before. But obviously we’re not here to drench our handkerchiefs with tears like in a Matarazzo film. Therefore, we will rejoice and console ourselves with the beautiful songs of Al Bano, anytime a suitable occasion presents itself. We will laugh along with Nino Taranto, Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia. At the time nobody realised it, but Al Bano and Romina really would fall in love with each other, they really would get married, and they really would become the most beautiful couple in the world. Can you tell where the fiction ends and reality begins?

Carlo and Lorena are engaged to each other. Unfortunately Giorgio, the son of a rich businessman, also has his sights set on the girl. In order to obtain her graces, he threatens bankruptcy on her father’s company. Lorena gives in to his blackmail. Carlo is less than pleased about the matter, and will end up taking off his glasses and teaching his sneaky rival a lesson. Even this plays its part in bringing about the inevitable happy ending.
