With both wit and stubbornness, Pasquale Festa Campanile observed the sex-lives of Italians better than most. This film features a classic storyline: a man discovers his wife is cheating on him and tries to deal with the shock. Naturally, this sets off a series of misconceptions and misunderstandings, with moments of pure slapstick and a generous dose of nudity. Johnny Dorelli allows himself to be dragged along by events in a perplexed and seemingly innocent fashion, while Barbara Bouchet and Stefania Casini are a lethal mix of playfulness and mischief. Joy and pain, with a bit of spice.
After being involved in a car accident with Dutchwoman Eleonora, advertiser Alberto Castelli goes home early only to find his wife in bed with the plumber. Struck down by depression he goes to a psychiatrist, who instructs him to spend some time in the mountains to recover. The doctor has given the same advice to Eleonora, who is heart-broken after her husband leaves her. Following a series of misadventures and misunderstandings, the two are destined to meet.
