For Gianni, his seemingly endless military service also comes to an end (but we will see him in uniform on other occasions, as his fanbase is such that popular Italian cinema finds it impossible to resist the temptation). And needless to say, the cast and crew are all back for more: the always excellent Ettore Maria Fizzarrotti behind the camera, Gianni Morandi and Laura Efrikian in the lead roles, Nino Taranto on hand to provide some comic interludes. Gianni, a singer with a promising future, is finishing his military service in Naples and can now, finally, get married to Carla. However, the record company advises him against taking the big step: it might not go down well with his female fans. Not only do the two lovers get married in secret, but they also hide the birth of a child from the public. While touring Spain, their marriage temporarily hits the rocks as a result of the wilful advances of a beautiful fan. During the final night of a music festival, Gianni decides the time has come to tell the truth to the world.
