For many fans, this is one of the best “Franco and Ciccio” films. In a jungle reconstructed along the coastline of the Lazio region, our hapless heroes come up against cannibals, quicksand, German mercenaries, and of course Tarzan. Ciccio gives us his imitations of a whole array of animals. An essential film for children and adults who don’t want to stop believing in the authenticity of laughter. The cast also features the stunning German actress Francy Fair, who will enjoy a brief moment of popularity in Italian genre films. But above all, there are the acting skills of the chimpanzee Filiberto, who can use a typewriter and shave humans.
This time out, Franco and Ciccio find themselves in the African jungle as part of a team looking for animals to bring back to the circus. However, just like Tarzan, they decide that the “civilised world” isn’t all it’s cooked up to be.
