Renato Pozzetto, in one of his best performances, brings the unmistakable touch of his perplexed and surreal comedy to his character, supported by the great character actor Enzo Cannavale. Bruno Corbucci ties it all together with an assured hand, digging into the murky world of the Milanese upper middle classes.
Riccardo Finzi, who qualified as a detective through a correspondence course, has moved to Milan. Amongst a sense of general mistrust, he begins to investigate a case that the police have been unable to solve: the murder of a girl he briefly met shortly before her death.
