Synopsis

From a Vanzina brothers screenplay, one of the films that best epitomises the spirit of 1980s Italian comedy

Jerry Calà has to contend with a selection of blonde bombshells

This film is one of the best examples of the devious spirit found in 1980s Italian comedy, of which Jerry Calà is a fearless and elusive protagonist. Without batting an eyelid, and with complete disregard for any sense of reality, he raises himself up to the status of sex symbol alongside all the blonde bombshells who in those years represented the idea of absolute beauty in cinema and on TV. He throws himself into all manner of erotic and sentimental adventures, with a healthy sprinkling of jokes and not-so-funny gags (which the film is undeniably proud of), backed up by a selection of reliable co-stars (from Claudio Bisio to Guido Nicheli). His charm is positively evil; there are even those who attribute him with having hypnotic powers. The screenplay was written by the Vanzina brothers. As they say: nothing happens by chance.

There are only 24 hours to go until Jerry and Susy get married. He loses himself reminiscing over past amorous adventures, while for his stag night his friends have decided to organise one last passionate fling for him as a bachelor. A dreadful idea. Will he get to say the fateful “yes”?
