Synopsis

Al Bano reaffirms his star status in this romantic and dramatic musicarello

The unmistakable voice of Al Bano in Kenya

Al Bano, the great star of Italian music and cinema, returns to the silver screen to make the most of his recent chart hits. However, this time he will have to do without Romina Power, his usual partner. She is substituted by Susanna Martinková, with all her Eastern European beauty. As always, the melodramatic themes of the musicarello are respected, however this time there are also two delicate, albeit marginal, subthemes, which at first glance appear out of place in the genre: the question of race and infertility. Nestled amongst moments of dramatic tension and light-hearted comedy, Al Bano does what he has always done so marvellously: he sings. In addition to the title song, he also performs Musica, Mille cherubini in coro and Mattino. What’s more, the wild Rocky Roberts also performs Io sono tremendo.

Giorgio is an engineer who has been married for five years. He decides to accept a job as the director of a gold mine in Kenya. The distance leads him to become suspicious of his wife’s faithfulness. However, the person she is secretly meeting is actually a gynaecologist, to whom she has turned in the hope of conceiving a child.
