Synopsis

A crazy superhero parody that takes us up, up and away into the absurd

This parody of the always popular superhero genre mainly relies on the comedy talents of Andy Luotto who, at the time, was one of the stars of Renzo Arbore’s unhinged TV show, and a promoter of absurd, surreal and demented comedy. Three adjectives that can also be applied to this film, which embraces them with a kamikaze spirit, as well as a pinch of sentimentality. Dressed up in his yellow and red costume, SuperAndy launches himself into a world of proudly tacky special effects and slapstick. A delightful and crazy cartoon-book adventure.

Two brothers from outer space, the handsome SuperKid and the ugly SuperAndy, are launched onto the planet Earth on board a space cradle. SuperKid, who ends up in Hollywood, plays the hero on TV. Whereas, SuperAndy, from his headquarters in Rome, tries his luck at being a proper superhero. In the end, after having saved a girl, he comes to the decision that it would be safer to transport goods, and every so often have a chat with his brother up on a cloud.
