The first in a very short series of films that removed the first syllable from the name of the real king of the jungle to avoid the inconvenience of paying royalties. Everything else is exactly as one might expect: bad guys to be defeated, beautiful girls just on the right side of wild, hanging vines used as a means of transport, a parrot for a friend, elephants ready to lend a hand, some hand-to-hand combat with a gorilla… What’s more, this time there is also a touch of strongman cinema to proceedings, with this bastard son of Tarzan launching massive boulders against those unfortunate enough to incur his anger, as though also related to Hercules. But there’s no call to get too picky about it: just sit back and let yourself be entertained.
