Synopsis

In the sub-genre of erotic comedies set in high-schools, La compagna di banco follows in the footsteps of the seminal La liceale (interestingly, both films are set in Trani). In that film, the young female student at the centre of attention was Gloria Guida, while here Lilli Carati makes her debut, with attributes that set her apart from the blonde queen of Italian sex comedies: dark wavy hair down to her shoulders, penetrating dark eyes and a generous figure. It is up to the public to decide who they prefer (of course, you could always love both, and in fact a short time later they will appear together in Avere vent’anni). In any case, Lilli Carati easily manages to upset a small town that appears to be just waiting for the provocation. She is supported by an assorted and stalwart comic cast made up of some of the “usual suspects”: Gianfranco D’Angelo, Lino Banfi, Alvaro Vitali…

A young girl called Simona moves to Trani with her family and starts to attend high-school there. Her good looks soon attract the interest of the boys in her class, and the jealousy of the girls.
